Unfortunately, this year was the very last ever East of England Championship Dog Show due to the East of England Showground having been sold off for housing development and other business development so the show was moved to Rutland Showground for the very last show to take place. From 2024, Boston Championship Dog Show will take the date and use the new Rutland Showground Venue also. So I had to enter this one last time. The entry was not large as there are no CC’s offered at East of England for Smooth Collies but you do have to be in it to win it as they say, Katie won her Limit Class and Arya won her Open Class with Arya then winning Best Bitch and Katie winning Reserve Best Bitch and Arya going on to win Best of Breed and for the second time, represent the Smooth Collie Breed in the Group so a lovely day and to be honest, I prefer Rutland Showground to the old East of England Showground.
