BORDER COLLIES

JUNIOR (1)

1.  Scott’s Taranza Jack of Diamonds at Beslmard, 18 month dog, well balanced,excellent head, alert and expressive eyes, excellent dentition, good strong neck, well laid back shoulders, good length of back, lovely long tail, lovely front with excellent shoulders and depth of chest, fabulous bend of stifle, excellent reach and drive on the move, flowed around the ring and looked like he could have gone all day, very attentive to handler and presented to perfection.  Loved everything about this young man and will watch career with interest BOB and was pleased to see him awarded Group 1.

Dennett’s Ghostland Aladin Sane for Hawthorns.  7 year old dog, taller and did not have the length of back to give the overall balance, head smaller and did not have width of skull, had a worried look about him, good length of tail, moved okay.

Special Yearling (5, 3 Absent)

1. Houlding’s Sandcourt Blue Temptation – 10 month old blue merle dog, colour needs to clear still but should given time, good head planes with correct stop and good flat backskull, ears set well, good length of neck, nice deep chest, would prefer a little more length of back to give the overall balance but will hopefully lengthen slightly with age, excellent presentation, moved well giving him the class.  Best Puppy in Breed

2. Harrison’s Jopium Drifting Mist at Shorrain – 6 month old baby boy of lovely shape and beautiful clear blue colour, lovely wedge shaped head, correct oblique eye, good stop, nice flat skull, ears set well, good neck set into well laid back shoulders with good front angulation, excellent bend of stifle and length of tail, well presented  just needs to tighten in rear on the move.

1. MacDonald’s Rossavon Dream Come Blue – 3 year old bitch who stood alone but worthy class winner, clearest of blues, fabulous head, correct slight but perceptible stop, nice flat skull, good underjaw, correct ear carriage, lovely length of neck set into correct shoulders, good length of back and excellent length of tail, fabulous bend of stifle giving excellent movement and drive, presented to perfection.

1. MacDonald’s Rossavon Kiss in the Dark – 5 year old tri colour bitch presented to perfection with the blackest of coats, not the flashiest of bitches but overall construction and her movement excels her.  Excellent head with the kindest of eyes, fabulous neck set in excellent well laid back shoulders, good length of back, correctly set tail with excellent length, excellent bend of stifle, this bitch totally out moved all her competition giving excellent reach and drive whilst keeping a lovely balanced topline.  Best of Breed.

2. Grubb’s Jashika Enchanted Dream Among Cherriosa – Lovely Shaded Sable bitch of nearly 3 years who caught my eye from the start, has a lovely head with correct oblique eye and kind melting expression, good stop, nice flat skull, slightly shorter in neck and length of back than 1, excellent coat and extremely well presented, moved well and pushed really hard for this class but preferred length of neck and back of 1.

1.      Webb’s Vilmorin Gold Leaf – 6 year old dog, correct head proportions, kind expressive eye, good muscular neck of correct moderate length set into well sloping shoulders, nice deep chest, good length of back length of tail.   Lovely overall balanced dog, moved extremely well, Best of Breed.  Extremely pleased to see win Pastoral Group 3.
