It is always a privilege to have one or more of your dogs qualify for Smooth Collie of the Year. This event recognises the Dog and Bitch CC, Reserve CC winners and the Championship Show Best Puppy Dog and Bitch winners and Dog and Bitch Veteran winners, so is not always easy to qualify for.

As we concentrated on Arya during 2022 and left Katie home much of the time (the I had a heart attack) we only qualified Arya but I was absolutely thrilled that of all the Championship Show winning bitches during 2022, Arya was placed Reserve Runner Up Bitch for 2022. Thank you so much to Mr Trevor Hayward (smooth collie breed specialist), Mrs Doris McDade (rough collie breed specialist) and Mr Simon Luxmore (non breed specialist/all rounder) for this honor which follows on from Katie’s Smooth Collie Puppy of the Year in 2021.
